Hand woven marine quality leather that’s been skilfully gilded with an intricate interlocking knot pattern. Our tapestry leather weave is created from the finest marine quality leather hide specially selected from our tannery in northern Italy.
The creative and technical know how of our team have developed a production and handling methodology that when applied to upholstery grade leather changes its personality and hand feel, illuminating distortion and skew.
We identified several problems that are frequently encountered with the specification of woven leather as an interior surface finish. Often only available in vegetable tanned leather, in restricted widths, with limited colour selection.
We have been able to resolve the technical issues associated with upholstery grade hide with our unique methodology for the preparation and handling of the leather. This has opened up the opportunity for designers to choose from the huge selection of colour, currently 102 shades.

The leather is embroidered with a pattern of autumn hedgerow vegetation, a knife is then used to cut the piece into straps for weaving, slashing the perfect embroidery bringing spontaneity, texture and deconstruction to the disassembled motifs. The essentials of form and colour in this hand woven leather and suede wall panel capture a simplified visual composition using the vertical and horizontal. Using bovine of European origin, lightly buffed natural grain with a soft waxy feel and semi matt appearance. Enhanced with blocks of soft calf suede in tone on tone blocks creating an abstracted architectural accent.
